The historic areas in Slough are protected as conservation areas. If you live in a conservation area, any planning applications or demolition work are treated slightly differently.
The Local Plan for Slough identifies five conservation areas in Slough in Appendix 4. The conservation areas are:

Applications for demolition consent can be completed online via the planning portal.
Applications for planning permission in the conservation areas are more rigorously assessed to consider whether proposals preserve or enhance the special character or appearance of the conservation area.
